Industry Size of Three Networks Integration to reach 300b in 2012

Shenzhen will set up a leading group for the work of the integration of telecommunications networks, cable TV networks and the Internet headed by Xu Qin, Mayor of Shenzhen, for strengthening the efforts of leading and coordination, which will set under Shenzhen Science, Industry, Trade and Information Commission.

Under the leading group, an expert group of the integration of telecommunication network, cable TV networks and the Internet will be established for providing decision consultation and a safety group will be set up especially for the information safety of the integration. Relevant person said, the integration will bring huge opportunities for the relevant industries in Shenzhen and by the end of 2012, the relating industry size will reach 300 billion Yuan.

Shenzhen will set up a special fund for the integration for granting supports for corporations, in order to encourage and promote their research and development.

As required by relevant national documents for the pilot work, the Work Program of the Pilot for the Integration of Telecommunication Network, Cable TV Networks and the Internet has been formulated combing Shenzhen’s actual situation, said Jia Xingdong, Vice Director of Shenzhen Science, Industry, Trade and Information Commission. This Program will be issued recently and become a guideline for the pilot work of the Integration that will be carried out next.
