Shenzhen Airport Expansion Goes Well
The expansion project of Shenzhen Airport goes smoothly. The second runway is planned to be put into use in late June next year and the T3 terminal building will be completed in the end of 2012, when the 3800 meter-long and 60 meter-wide runway could provide enough space for the landing and taking-off of the A380 Airbus, the largest airplane in the world now and also could provide nearly 76 more parking stands, largely relieving the current pressure of getting in and out of Shenzhen airport.
According to the introduction of the head of Shenzhen Airport Corporation, the expansion project of Shenzhen Airport is consist of three sub-projects, which are expansion projects for aircraft movement zone, terminal area and construction allowance of railway traffic. The taxiway surface project of the aircraft movement zone has been completed by about 55% and drainage works by 90%.
In the meeting room of the construction site, Lv Ruifeng associated with head of relevant governmental departments discuss, coordinate and solve the actual problems in the airport expansion projects. Lv stressed that Shenzhen is going to be built into an international and modernized city and the airport is the image of the city, which will present its comprehensive strength and competitive power.
