Three Fast Food Giants Gather in Shenzhen


A well known chain fast food brand Burger King, who enjoys equal popularity with McDonald and KFC, opened its global 12388th restaurants in Tianli Mingcheng Shopping Center in Nanshan District, Shenzhen on July 23th, which is the first store in South China following the brand entering into Shanghai, Beijing, Nanjing, Hangzhou, Xiamen and Suzhou etc. By now, the three giants of the world fast food industry have gathered in Shenzhen.

Founded in Miami in the United States in 1954, Burger King is the second large fast food hamburger company in the world and has operated over 12000 restaurants in the United States and 74 countries and regions. Shi Wenzhe, General Manger of Burger King Corporation in China said, as of June of 2010, Burger King had had totaling 33 restaurants in China. Opening the first restaurant in South China region is the start of Burger King to accelerate its expansion in Chinese market. “The company will open stores in Luohu, Nanshan and Futian Districts in Shenzhen within the year and will accelerate the layout in the market outside of Shenzhen center with the coming of Shenzhen Universiade.”
