Port visas will be issued to the following foreigners:

  1. Foreigners who are invited to participate in trade fair in China temporarily;
  2. Foreigners who are invited to participate in bidding or to sign trade contracts in China;
  3. Foreigners who are invited to supervise export loading and import inspection or to take part in contract inspection in China according to contracts;
  4. Foreigners who are invited to participate in equipment installment and work repairmen;
  5. Foreigners who are invited by Chinese to solve the claim problems in China;
  6. Foreigners who are invited to provide scientific and technical consultation;
  7. Foreigners who are agreed to add or change visas by China after obtaining the visas in group;
  8. Foreigners who come to China for visiting serious sick person or dealing with funeral affairs;
  9. Direct transiting foreigners who could not depart by the planes they take or by other traffic tools within 24 hours due to irresistible causes;
  10. Other foreigners who are invited and indeed have no time to apply for visas at China authorities in other countries and hold the letters of designated authority agreeing to apply visas at ports.
