Shenzhen Bay Park to Expand its Parking Lot

“Every time passing by Shenzhen Bay Park at weekends or holidays, I found the vehicles parked in mess order seriously affected the transportation and urban scenery. Can the park make expansion on the base of the currently facilities to solve the parking problem?” Shenzhen Bay Park currently has totaling 460 carports, which will be increased to 2000 after the opening of the park on all-round base in August.

According to the general program and design requirement, special parking lots will be set up at different areas in Shenzhen Bay Park and 1500 parking lots will be increased after the full opening of the Park, by when the parking problem that the citizens concerned will be solved on certain extend. However, person in charge of the Park warns the citizens, the visitor volume at weekends and holidays are huge and the park lot could not meet the actual requirement even though all parking lots are opened. So they hope the citizens could reduce of the use of motor vehicles, which will be also for the good of the environment of the Park.

Consisted by the coastal ecological park that has been completed and opened and Shenzhen Bay coastal leisure zone in process, Shenzhen Bay Park will be open for the citizens in August before the Universiade.
