Shenzhen’s “Happy Coast” to open on August 9

With total investment of 3.5 billion Yuan, the large comprehensive tourism project of the OCT, the “Happy Coast”, an open coastal theme park for leisure, will be opened on August 9, which will be another highlight of the Shenzhen Universiade tourism.

From the beginning of this year, Shenzhen has implemented three large tourism projects for boosting the city’s whole image of tourism and the industry’s service level on an all round base, a news conference for Universiade tourism held by the city’s tourism authority yesterday was told.

Shenzhen also takes the opportunity to promote the construction of the international tourism destination. The city’s tourism authority continues to conduct the on-line promotion activity of “Find the beauty of Shenzhen” and at the same time make special efforts to make promotion in Hong Kong and Chengdu. Travel agencies from Korea, Australia and New Zealand as well as Guangzhou, Zhuhai, Dongguan, Huizhou and other surrounding cities all come to Shenzhen for more tourism information. They said they would organize more tourists to Shenzhen to experience the beauty of Shenzhen.

Improving of tourism management and service level are also significant tourism projects. The city’s tourism authority starts a series of trainings and activities for serving the Universiade. Through the consultation offices for tourists and the information service centers set up, the Universiade tourists will enjoy fast online consultation services during the time in Shenzhen.
