Shenzhen becomes a world factory for international purchasers
On August 9, the nine international giants including AERA, Canadian Tire, Chubb, ,Eurogroup,Kesa Electricals,Office Depot,Sbitany,Staples and Intertek came to Shenzhen to make purchase at Alibaba purchase assembly, on which nearly 300 professional suppliers and international purchasers in the electronic industry had a face-to-face negotiation.
The reason that the nine international buyers come to Shenzhen is that the city has its own advantage in the whole chain of international purchasing, according to a large buyer.
The data on Alibaba platform shows, from April to June, Shenzhen had a monthly export of about USD20 billion dollars, which is better than that in the whole country and Guangzhou. Shenzhen’s advanced industry for export include software and hardware of computers, consumable electronic products, and communication equipments, which are all the electronic products that the buyers need.
As per data statistics in 2010, the turnover of China’s electronic industry was up to 6,365 billion Yuan, which indicate China has become a world electronic factory, producing smart mobile phones, tablet computer, digital camera, laser disk and other electronic products for the global markets. Therefore, Shenzhen has become the most important export base for electronic products.
Alibaba said, under the influence of the global economic crisis, the purchasing will of the enterprises at home and abroad is shrinking. Giving full play to the advantages of platform and resources, Alibaba held this purchase activity, which not only realized the connection of large buyers’ purchase activity and the B2B electronic business platform, but also provide a better opportunity for the domestic enterprises.
“It’s a pleasure for Alibaba to act as a communication bridge, bring Shenzhen enterprises more global business opportunities, including the purchases and the purchase projects,” said Huang Kailin, Senior Chief of Buyer Service Department of Alibaba.
