“Professionals” introduced for collective wage negotiation in Shenzhen
General Labor Union of Shenzhen Municipality employed a batch of professionals and lawyers as guides of Shenzhen collective wage negotiation, which will make the labors in Shenzhen more confident when asking the bosses to raise their wages on negotiation table. The Union will also establish an over 1000-person guider team for collective wage negotiation.
On the mobilization meeting for promoting the collective wage negotiation and establishing harmonious labor relations held by the General Labor Union of Shenzhen Municipality, fourteen professionals from Shenzhen University and the Academy of Social Science and ninety lawyers from ten law firms were respectively employed by the Union as the first batch members of the Advisory Committee for Establishing Harmonious Labor Relations and the Collective Negotiation Lawyer Group. They were expected to become the professional strength in the guider teams of collective wage negotiation in Shenzhen.
Collective negotiation is an important part of Shenzhen’s labor relation adjustment system. In recent years, the collective negotiation of Shenzhen General Labor Union has focused on salary increase and made active efforts to promote establishment of the system in enterprises.
According to the Program for Promoting Collective Wage Negotiation from 2011 to 2015, key enterprises must make collective negotiation on wages and sign wage agreements with labors. The rate must reach 55% this year and 75% in 2015. For medium and small enterprises, regional and industrial wage collective negotiation must be conducted for promoting the innovation of the labor system.
