Shenzhen Expected to be a Global City of Security

Benefiting from the solid high-tech industrial base of Shenzhen and the influence of Shenzhen’s security industry in China, Shenzhen is quite possible to become a global city of security, said Richard •W• Chace, Chairman of Global Security Industrial Alliance and former CEO of the Security Industrial Association of the United States in an interview.

It has been generally accepted that “the global security has been focused on China and China’s security has been focused on Shenzhen”. Richard pointed out Shenzhen had been placed at an important position in the global security industry. It is not only the important manufacture center for security products, but also an important trade and consultation center for global security industry. As one of the largest expositions in size and influence held in the world, Shenzhen Security Exposition is of great impact over the global same trade.

In the international security industry, Richard is the person of heavy weights. He has been in the office of CEO of the Security Industry Association for consecutive 15 years since 1996. In April of this year, Richard was appointed as Chairman of the Global Security Industry Alliance. “Shenzhen Security Exposition exceeded the International Security Products Exposition held in Las Vegas in the United State and became the “boss” of the world in 2007. It takes Las Vegas 40 years to do that, but Shenzhen only uses 20 years.” Richard indicated the current status of Shenzhen’s security industry and its international standing is quite possible to make Shenzhen become the global city of security.
