Shenzhen Trade Union initiated investigation on Cucci

When seeing the report on internet about the mistreatment allegation against Cucci’s flagship store in Shenzhen, Shenzhen Trade Union immediately initiated investigation over the case. Although the store did not establish trade union, the employees would also be protected, according to the Union.

The Union has contacted the local labor department for investigation and communication has been made with the Trade Union in Shanghai where Headquarter of Cucci in China is located for joint treatment of this case.

Although the flagship store of Cucci in Shenzhen didn’t establish trade union, the Federation of Trade Union in Shenzhen said all its employees will be the objects of the legal rights protection. The trade union now is making active efforts to contact relevant person of the company and hopes face-to-face discussion could be made for analyzing and solving the problem.

Shenzhen’s federation of trade unions called the management of Gucci China, expressing hope that Gucci China could set up a more humane management system and give more care and respect to its employees.

In response to the scandal, Gucci China has replaced the management of the Shenzhen store and has not denied the complaints made by five of its former employees in a recent online open letter.
