Huawei cut US staff for organizational restructuring

Shenzhen, China- According to the report of foreign media, Huawei, a global leading provider of telecommunication equipments and technologies, has cut several staff at the offices in Plano, Taxes and other offices in US. The number of employees cut down is not released, but some one who knew the story said Huawei has cut 50 employees in US and most of them are from the department of marketing.

Huawei made the following statement when contacted by the media:

We have consolidated and streamlined our organizational structure to sustain profitable infrastructure business in the U.S. The new organizational structure will allow Huawei to continue to provide the best technology solutions to the US carriers and customers while maintaining our cost structure. Huawei’s commitment to march into the US infrastructure market and to provide services for the US carriers and customers is unchanged.

Some foreign media said Huawei’s commitment may not have changed, but the firm’s clients are skittish, since it is under investigation by the US Intelligence Committee, said relevant source.

The US government’s investigation over Huawei has made it tough for the company. “Federal agencies have made it clear that they will not have any of their traffic running over Huawei equipment,” the source said
