Long-distance crash in Shenzhen 14 wounded
Shenzhen, China- A going-straight long-distance bus crashed with a left-turning container truck at the crossroad of Shiyan Songbai Road and North Ring Road yesterday morning, causing 14 persons on the bus wounded, who have been hospitalized. The driver of the bus was seriously hurt. Further investigation is in process for the reason of the accident.
At about eight o’clock yesterday, a rescue vehicle was hoisting a container truck that had been turned over on one side with class pieces scattering all over ground when journalist arrived. At about ten meters away from the truck, there was a bus from Guangxi province stopping at the roadside with its head seriously destroyed. The traffic police on site said the driver of the truck has been taken to the office for investigation and the driver and wounded passengers of the bus have been hospitalized.
The accident happened at about six o’clock in the morning. The long-distance bus, with about 20 passengers on, is from Heng County in Guangxi province to Bao’an in Shenzhen.
After receiving the alarm call, the hospital dispatched two ambulances and took back 2 and 9 patients respectively, while 3 patients walked to the hospital on their own, according to Shiyan People’s Hospital. The driver was seriously hurt on his legs and the passengers were all lightly wounded.
Further investigation of the reason of the accident is still in process.
