Shenzhen Power Supply Bureau starts highest power security
Shenzhen, China – During the 15th Anniversary for the homecoming of Hong Kong, Shenzhen, as an adjacent city to Hong Kong, was listed as a major city for power supply and guarantee. During the period from June 29 to July 2, the city starts the highest level for power supply and security, according to Shenzhen Power Supply Bureau.
According to relevant person from Shenzhen Power Supply Bureau, the power guarantee plan this time involves 61 circuits and 27 transformer substations above 110 kilovolts, which account for 11% of the total power grid lines and 13% of the total transformer substations respectively. In order to guarantee the power grid security and stability during the ceremony and make sure the networking devices of Guangzhou and Hong Kong can run stably, Shenzhen Power Supply Bureau makes the 2012 Overall Plan for Special Class Power Security and Power Supply during the 15th Anniversary Ceremony for the Return of Hong Kong, which is at the highest level in the history.
Shenzhen’s power grid now is connected with Hong Kong through five transformer substations and nine circuits of power transmission lines, including six 132kv, one 110kv, one 400kv and one 500kv lines. During the power supply ensuring period, Shenzhen Power Supply Bureau will organize and arrange special patrol and maintenance for important electricity transmission and transformation devices, Hong Kong networking equipments and security power source of the nuclear power stations relating to ensure the power supply.
