Fire at reclamation deport kills four in Shenzhen

Shenzhen, China- A reclamation depot in Shenzhen was set on fire that had killed four people yesterday morning. The fire that had affected a total floor area of 300 square meters was finally put out at 5:15 a.m. The reason of the fire is under investigation.

The reclamation depot locates at the cross of Baoguan Road and Shengbao Road at Shenzhen Nanwan Street. When journalist arrived, the fire has been put out, but the air was still filled with pungent and choking burning smell. There are various wastes of irons, plastics and froths piling in the depot. Two metal houses that were connected have been burned down and one of them has collapsed.

The accident has caused two persons died on site and another two died after hospitalized. They are identified respectively as Cai Debing from Chongqing, Cai Yuanfang from Chongqing, Huang Zhong from Guangdong and Li from Sichuan.

According to a worker of a stone field nearby, there were ten workers sleeping deeply in the dormitory when the fire disaster occurred and most of them ran out after wakened by the high temperature.

Investigation is in process for the reason of the fire disaster.
