Fuel surcharge for taxies in Shenzhen back to ¥3
Shenzhen, China- Shenzhen Development and Reform Commission and the Transport Commission of Shenzhen Municipality jointly issued notice yesterday, saying that, from zero o’clock on August 12, the fuel Surcharge for red cab operating in Shenzhen has been adjusted to 3 yuan from 2 and the fuel surcharge for green cabs remains unchanged.
From August 10, the price of octane-93 gas in China jumped from 7.34 yuan per liter to 7.66 yuan per liter, following which Shenzhen’s joint plans for oil price and transportation price again started. The plan agrees, when the price of octane-93 is between 7.41 and 8.28 yuan, the fuel surcharge for taxies will be 3 yuan and when the price is between 8.29 and 9.16 yuan, the fuel surcharge will be 4 yuan. Now the fuel price of 7.66 yuan has entered into the 3 yuan zone, which means fuel surcharge shall also be adjusted up by one yuan.
In order to reflect the effect of the price adjustment of product oil, the municipal government has agreed to adjust the taxi fuel surcharge as per relevant regulation of the taxi fuel and transportation fare related mechanism. From zero o’clock on August 12, 2012, fuel surcharge for the red cab operating in Shenzhen is was adjusted to 3 yuan from 2 yuan and the price for green cab remained unchanged at 2 yuan.
