Five died in traffic accident in Shenzhen during holiday
From September 30 to October 7, Shenzhen’s traffic police stations totally accepted and heard 11135 cases, down by 25.5% over the same period of last year and 42.8% over previous month, according to the Municipal Public Security Traffic Police Bureau. During the eight-day holidays, the city totally had 11 traffic accidents, in which five people died and nine wounded. There was no fateful traffic accident with death toll of over three and no death traffic accident on highways during the holidays.
According to relevant introduction, the Municipal Public Security Traffic Police Bureau totally sent out police force of 8896 persons and carried out several special actions, such as “Liehu”, “Tianyan” and “Random change lines”, dealing with 46 drunk driving and 84 after-drink driving.
As of now, the city’s highways operate smoothly. According to preliminary statistics, from September 30 to October 7, Shenzhen total arriving vehicles of about 2,037,535 and departure vehicles of about 2,296,644.
During the holidays, the city’s traffic police station sent out 632 police force per day to conduct first level safeguard measure for the 21 main business circles and tourism spots in the city, strengthening the traffic management in the scenic area.
