Shenzhen Tourism Earns a Total of 5.1 Billion during National Holiday, but Per Capita Consumption is less than 1,000 Yuan
The National Day just past was the first golden week after the implementation of the tourism law. Last night, statistics from the city holiday office showed that a total of 5,215,600 tourists visited Shenzhen during National Day, an increase of 11.86% compared with last year; tourism income 5.138 billion yuan, a growth of 18.1% compared to the same period in last year.
Survey read that during National Day this year, shenzhen received 4,607,600 domestic tourists, a growth of 13.39%; the domestic tourism income of 4,563,000,000 yuan, a growth of 18.45% compared to the same period last year; inbound tourists 608,000, an increase of 1.43%; international tourism income of $91,000,000, a year-on-year growth of 15.36%. Major tourism safety accidents and quality dispute didn’t occurred during golden week, tourists satisfaction rate was up to 98.2%.
Per capita spending of tourists during National Day this year was just 985 yuan. Among them, retail, catering service income increased significantly. The key investigation objects, including Cr vanguard, Maoye, rainbow, Carrefour and Shirble Department Store etc 5 retailers, their total operating income grew 7.4%. Bashufeng, West Lake spring, McDonald’s, king of noodles, Beihai fishing village etc 5 catering enterprises’ total operating income grew 10.7%. Sampling investigation shows that domestic tourists in our city spend the most on shopping, accounting for 39.33% of the total cost; secondly, entertainment, catering costs accounted for 15.16% and 15.10%.
